The man considered to be the father of British Blues, has died at age 90. John Mayall was a huge influence and had some of the best English rock stars in his band called the Bluesbreakers. Some of the outstanding players that played in that band included: Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce, later of Cream; Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac; Mick Taylor, who played five years with the Rolling Stones; Harvey Mandel and Larry Taylor of Canned Heat; and Jon Mark and John Almond, who went on to form the Mark-Almond Band.
