About Jeff Benton

After doing two years of college radio Jeff began his professional career at WGET. He moved on to WHVR. Then it was off to the US Army as a Signal Corps officer. During his stint in the Army, he was a production officer for their Mobile Television Detachment. After serving his country, Jeff did production work for both WUHY (now WHYY) and WYBE. His skills earned him several awards including a TELLY and a Golden Apple Award from the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. In 1990 he was named Member of the Year by the International Television Association. In addition, Jeff taught Media Production at both the High School and college level for over thirty years. Jeff now serves as an officer on the board on the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia.
